Frequently Asked Questions

What happens on Sunday morning?

During the school year, three services are held; during the summer, two. For current service times, please click here. We celebrate Holy Eucharist during each worship service every Sunday. All baptized Christians are invited to receive Holy Eucharist. For more information about the church service itself - Worship 101 for Non-Episcopalians - click here.

When you arrive at church, you will be greeted by a member of the Vestry, the governing board of our church. Ushers will give you a bulletin as you enter the sanctuary. The bulletin provides an overview of Sunday morning activities and upcoming activities in the church. The bulletin will direct you to the various readings in the Book of Common Prayer and to hymns in the Hymnal, 1982. It also provides the scripture readings for that morning and some of the other songs we will sing.

Sunday School is offered for all ages during the school year. It is offered for adults only during the summer. For more information on regularly scheduled classes for children, youth and adults, please click here.

Childcare is provided in the nursery for infants and toddlers during Sunday School and the Worship Services. During the school year, Children's Chapel is available for children age three through kindergarten during the 9:00 Worship Service. Before the offertory, children will be led from the church to Heyward Hall by a crucifer. An usher will lead them back to church before Holy Eucharist.
