Welcome, Visitors!

Saint John's was formed in 1912; our church building dates to 1926. We are located in a lovely residential neighborhood called Shandon, just a mile or two from the State House in South Carolina's capital city of Columbia.

We are a congregation numbering about 1,300 baptized members of all ages, roughly 800 of whom we consider "communicants. " Our many ministries seek to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and his people, and to bring glory to God our Father, under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.

Read on and explore this site to learn more about our worship, our music, our children's and youth ministries, and much more. The wardens and other vestry members, and the dozen or so who make up my excellent staff, join me in welcoming you to Saint John's.
