Diocese of Upper South Carolina

St. John's is a parish within the Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina. The Diocese is made up of all Episcopal churches and missions located in South Carolina's Midlands and Upstate. Led by our bishop, the Right Reverend Dorsey F. Henderson, Jr., and based at Trinity Cathedral in Columbia, the Diocese governs, guides and supports the parishes within it.  The Diocese holds its convention every October. The convention sets the Diocese's budget, policies and programs. 

Midlands Convocation

Episcopal churches in and around Columbia gather regularly for the Midlands Convocation.  The Convocation coordinates programs among the local parishes.
