Keenagers
The Keenagers promote companionship, fellowship and friendship among parishioners
who are fifty years of age or older. A regular monthly luncheon including
program is held. Various day trips are offered to local and regional places
of interest as well as extra activities, such as bridge. [more information]
The
Commitments
The Commitments is a newly formed group of young married couples (with
and without children). Activities include social outings, mission work,
and retreats. Every month they enjoy fellowship as they gather at each
other's homes.
Scrapbookers
Whether you are a beginner, a "seasoned" scrapbooker or someone
just trying to organize your photos, come and join us for our next Crop
to share a love of pictures and enjoy great fellowship! Bring a
snack or soft drink to share with everyone. To find out about the
Scrapbookers' next meeting, check the bulletin
or contact Kelly Burkett at 776-8586.
Men
of St. John's
The mission of the Men of St. John's is to proclaim the love of Jesus
Christ through fellowship and service activities in His church, and for
His people in this community and the world. This group of men supports
the activities of the congregation, Vestry and clergy. They are always
ready to assist when called upon. They serve as ushers, assist with church
suppers, and sponsor workdays to help with maintaining the church buildings
and grounds. This group sponsors many fellowship opportunities such as
our Annual Meeting in January, a Spring Fish Fry,
a steak dinner, Bombers baseball night and an annual golf tournament.
They also sponsor the Harvest Eve Dinner, Shrove
Tuesday Pancake Supper and an Annual Oyster Roast as fellowship opportunities
of the whole church. All men are encouraged to participate.
Episcopal
Church Women (ECW)
All baptized women of the parish are members of the ECW. The purpose of
the ECW is to deepen the spiritual life of the women at St. John's and
to broaden their Christian outlook. This group provides channels through
which women may assist in carrying out the church's program of worship,
study, service, and fellowship within in the parish, diocese, community,
nation, and the world. For more information, read the St.
John's ECW page.
