On May 20, 2008, the Keenagers met for the last time before the summer. The speaker was Ms. Jenny LaTour who works for the South Carolina Office of Emergency Preparedness and also for the Red Cross. She shared some of her experiences as a Red Cross disaster worker on Hawaii following a typhoon several years ago. She is still a member of Red Cross national disaster response teams and is still on call to go to disaster sites as needed. She also reminded her audience that hurricanes are the major disaster that threatens us here in South Carolina and handed out emergency check lists to everyone present.
