Handbells (Tuesdays 5:30 pm)

CURIOUS ABOUT HANDBELLS?

Join us beginning in October...

Tuesday evenings, 5:30-6:30 pm, Music Room (upstairs Heyward Hall, Room  210).  Performances at the 11:15 am service from time to time (when we are good and ready!)  We are always looking for new members to join the church's Handbell Team—no prior experience required! Anyone (boys, girls, men, women) in middle school through Keenagers is encouraged to give it a try. How do you know you won't love it until you try it? Anyone interested in checking it out should give Director of Music Celia Tolar-Bane a ring at 799-4767 , ext. 105 or e-mail at ctb@stjohnscolumbia.org .

Selah

Singers and their acoustic instruments make up this group.  They lead in worship from time to time at the 9:00 am service September-May and at 10:30 during the summer.  We are actively looking for new regular or substitute members of this popular group. You may contact the Music Office or one of the members about joining.

Intrumentalists/Chamber Music Concerts

Instrumentalists of all ages are encouraged to contact the music office to see what opportunities might be available for them to play individually or in groups in both informal and worship settings.  Many opportunities already exist or can be created for interested instrumentalists to offer their gifts through our parish. Chamber music concerts (small groups, soloists, duets, etc.) are offered from time to time in the Music Room.  If you are interested in participating in future chamber music events, please contact the Music Office.
